Difluorodithieno[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine as a strong acceptor for materials displaying thermally activated delayed fluorescence or room temperature phosphorescence

چکیده
A novel strong electron-acceptor unit, 9,10-difluorodithieno[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine (DTPz), is synthesized and applied in the design of two donor-acceptor type emitters displaying long-lived delayed emission. Using either 9,9-dimethyl-9,10-dihydroacridine (DMAC) or triisopropyl-substituted benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene (BDT-TIPS) as donor component, push-pull chromophores exhibiting charge-transfer emission are obtained found to afford thermally activated fluorescence (TADF) for DMAC room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) BDT-TIPS.

Calixarenes as High Temperature Matrices for Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence: C70 in Dihomooxacalix[4]arene.
Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) of 12C70 and 13C70 was observed up to 140 °C in a p-tert-butyldihomooxacalix[4]arene solid matrix, a temperature range significantly higher than that of previous TADF quantitative studies. An effective singlet-triplet energy gap of 29 kJ/mol and triplet formation quantum yields of 0.97 and 0.99 were measured for 12C70 and 13C70, respectively. The ...
متن کاملThermally activated delayed fluorescence in fullerenes.
This report reviews the thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) displayed by fullerenes. From the analysis of the steady-state data, time-resolved data, or by a combination of both, it is possible to determine several important photophysical parameters of fullerenes. Herein we also cover the development of temperature and oxygen sensors based on the TADF effect exhibited by fullerene C(...
متن کاملPhotophysics of thermally activated delayed fluorescence molecules.
Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) has recently emerged as one of the most attractive methods for harvesting triplet states in metal-free organic materials for application in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). A large number of TADF molecules have been reported in the literature with the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of OLEDs by converting non-emissive triplet states into...
متن کاملCarbon dots in zeolites: A new class of thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials with ultralong lifetimes
Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials are inspiring intensive research in optoelectronic applications. To date, most of the TADF materials are limited to metal-organic complexes and organic molecules with lifetimes of several microseconds/milliseconds that are sensitive to oxygen. We report a facial and general "dots-in-zeolites" strategy to in situ confine carbon dots (CDs)...
متن کاملBlue thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials based on bis(phenylsulfonyl)benzene derivatives.
Two blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence molecules based on bis(phenylsulfonyl)benzene with very small singlet-triplet splitting energy were designed and synthesized by combining 3,6-di-tert-butylcarbazole with 1,4-bis(phenylsulfonyl)benzene and 1,3-bis(phenylsulfonyl)benzene, and a maximum external quantum efficiency of 11.7% was achieved for an electroluminescent device.
